smudging with sage

Smudging has been used by First Nations and Indigenous people around the world for centuries as a means of cleansing the mind, body, and spirit.

In the same way that smudging can help our minds and bodies feel purified, smudging can also eradicate negative energy from a room or home.

The medicine wheel teaches about the connection of the emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual aspects of life. Indigenous people believe everything flows in a circle, and the medicine wheel represents that circle divided into four sections.

PERSONALIZED SMUDGE PRAYER

7 GRANDFATHER TEACHINGS

The teaching of the Seven Grandfathers is an important part of Ojibwe culture, and is used as a guide for both communal survival and unity as well as personal growth and development.

The story of the Seven Grandfathers begins when the Creator appointed seven powerful spirits to watch over the people living on Mother Earth.

The Seven Grandfathers watched the people of Turtle Island closely, and came to find that they were living hard, unhealthy, negative lives. Concerned for their wellbeing, the Seven Grandfathers sent a messenger to Earth to deliver the teachings the people would need to live happy, healthy, well-balanced lives.
